Privacy policy

This service has no accounts and collects nothing that identifies you. The only things sent to the server are the test name and your score. Your name, contact details and anything you type are never on our side.

• When you finish a test, the test name and your score are added to the visitor distribution as one row. That row has no IP address, device information, time or language. The distribution keeps only counts per value range.
• The text you type in the typing test is handled only inside this page and is never sent to the server.
• Browser session storage holds only how far you got so the same signal is not counted twice in one visit. It disappears when you close the tab. This device also keeps one value, the date of your first visit, used only to count whether you came back another day.
• The server counts anonymous measurements only. It keeps the aggregated date, a step name such as opened, started a test, finished a test, pressed share or returned another day, the screen language, a rough source label for where you came from, and the test name. Scores are not part of this measurement.
• Nothing goes to the ranking service (ranks.gwirae.com) until you press Post to the ranking. Then the test name and your score go there, and that service's cookie may travel with them.
• To cover running costs, Google AdSense ads may appear between tests and below results, never during a test. When ads are on, Google may use cookies or advertising identifiers under its own policies.

Retention and deletion

A row added to the distribution cannot be traced to anyone, so it cannot be deleted. Clearing browser data removes your first visit date and session marks.

This site is served through Cloudflare, which automatically injects an analytics script into our pages. We did not add it, so we have configured browsers to refuse it. Its records are not sent. The tag itself is still injected by the front layer, so we mention it. This site's address sets no cookies. If you post a score to the ranking, that service may set the rk_k and rk_s cookies, described at ranks.gwirae.com/privacy.
